Welcome

The staff and school community at The Meadows want the best for every single child. Our motto - Focus, Flourish and Fly is central to all we do. We encourage children to do their best and celebrate achievements across the curriculum.

The children are at the heart of all we do at The Meadows Primary School and we are prepared to 'go that extra mile' to ensure our school is the best it can be.

We are proud to share that an Ofsted inspection in May 2022 rated us as a 'Good' school in all areas.

Our curriculum

At The Meadows we have worked with specialist subject colleagues across the Futura Learning Partnership to develop our curriculum. This Futura Curriculum meets and exceeds the National Curriculum and ensures an ambitious curriculum for all our pupils.

For each subject, our curriculum clearly identifies the small building blocks that pupils need to know to help them develop more complex understanding. It is carefully sequenced to support pupils’ knowledge development and ensures they are prepared for the next step in their learning. This includes gaining subject specific disciplinary knowledge, that enables pupils to develop understanding of how the subject ‘works’.

Lessons are designed to support pupils to not only learn more but also to remember more.  We also have a programme of CPD that supports our teachers’ subject knowledge in each of the areas of our curriculum.
